According to Variety, stars from Broadway and Hollywood, including Kevin Kline, Bette Midler, Robin Williams and Meryl Streep, will take part in a one-night-only event to raise money to create the Jay Monahan Center for Gastrointestinal Health at New York-Presbyterian Hospital The evening is entitled “42nd & Vine … Hollywood Hits Broadway” and will be held at New York’s Waldorf-Astoria Hotel on Tuesday, November 12. The many performers will offer selections from Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim’s “West Side Story”.
Meryl Streep, Julianne Moore and Nicole Kidman are honored by the Premiere Magazine with it’s Icon Award for the Women of the Year. Kidman and Moore attended the show, Meryl accepted her award via satelite video. She’s currently in London to attend the GQ Men of the Year Awards.

“The Hours,” expected to be one of the biggest crowd-pullers in the 59th Venice film festival at the end of this month, was pulled off the bill on Friday due to delays in post-production, organizers said. “The producer, Miramax, said that they still had to complete technical modifications… and it won’t be ready in time,” a spokeswoman for the festival said.
