This Saturday, Simply Streep will be hosting a Magazines Marathon. Over the time I have received such an amount of scans from fans over the world that it’s simply too much for one update. So today, over 100 new magazines, featuring over 350 pages, will be added to the Image Library. They range from the very beginning to the very recent and were published in countries all over the world. So if you’re going to spend your afternoon reading, get yourself a coffee and enjoy the new additions! My thanks to those wonderful contributors who have shared their collections with me, and therefore with you fans. Kudos to, most notably, Alvaro, Tina, Simone, and everyone else who might have been forgotten ;-) Check the coming updates.

Three new articles have been added to the Magazines Archive – interviews with Parade Magazine and USA Today as well as a very interesting and in-depth background story on the making of “Julie & Julia” by the New York Times. Enjoy your read! Below is an excerpt from the brief but entertaining interview with Parade.
I’m like every other actor, I’ve been unemployed more than I’ve been working. Actors just have a lot of down time. So I’ve never gotten used to being out of work. It’s a very uncertain life and there are only a few people that would sign up to be married to somebody who’s an actor. My husband’s an artist and he understands that, the vagaries of the job. I just take every day is a miracle and I’m really glad that I’m still working and that people are not sick of me, even though even I’m sick of me a little bit.
Added lots of new magazine scans – some amazing covers included – ranging from 1993 to 1995. All scans were contributed by Alvaro and feature very interesting interviews with Meryl and in-depth reports on the makings of “The House of the Spirits”, “The River Wild” and “The Bridges of Madison County”. A full list of additions can be found below.
