While sorting things for the site, I’ve realised that most of the screencaptures of Meryl’s television appearances throughout the years have never been added to the new image library back when I moved all images. So, over 2.000 screencaptures have been re-added, ranging from the early 1980s to 2009, when screencaptures have been up to date again. For a complete overview of all added captures, have a look at the previews below and enjoy your trip down the memory lane.
A couple of magazine scans have been added to the image library, some of them from earlier this year during the “August: Osage County” promotion and two new ones. The People Magazine edition of August has a first look at “Into the Woods”. And Empire Magazine’s September issue has a feature on the Blu-Ray release of “Sophie’s Choice”. Many thanks to Simona, Claudia and Ali for the scans. Also, with thanks to Lindsey, the “Into the Woods” production stills have been replaced with HQ versions.
Disney has launched the teaser trailer for “Into the Woods” today. It’s literally just teasing its stars and scenes, but there are some nice brief moments of Meryl’s witch. Make sure to watch the teaser trailer in the video archive. Captures have been added to the image library.
The Disney blog has posted a first set of production stills from “Into the Woods”, including one new image of Meryl as the Witch. Click the preview on the left to view it in the image library. Also, as BroadwayWorld reports, the theatrical trailer for the film will be featured before theatrical showings of “Guardians of the Galaxy”, “Get On Up” and “Calvary”. Many thanks to Glenn for the latter news. Into the Woods is an unfamiliar take on our favorite fairy tales, and is based on the musical by Stephen Sondheim. The film comes to theaters December 25.
I’ve added a bunch of public appearances pictures, ranging from 1976 to 1983 and including promotions for “The Seduction of Joe Tynan” and “The French Lieutenant’s Woman”. To watch all last added pictures, click any of the previews below.

After bringing the movie albums in order, the television albums have been updated with high quality versions and a couple of new additions. Since pretty much all albums in this category have been updated, click on any of the previews below to launch the image library.
It’s been very quite about Meryl these days, so not many things to update. However, I did bring the movie albums in order, ranging from 1998 to 2002. All pictures have been sorted and replaced in better quality, and additional pictures have been uploaded as well. Plus, I’ve been working behind the scenes to bring some new features to Simply Streep. So check back soon. To launch all last added pictures, have a look at below’s overview.
On Saturday, Meryl Streep and Jodie Foster joined forces at the Jacob Burns Film Center, where Jonathan Demme was presented with the 2014 Vision Award for his remarkable career as a director, producer, and screenwriter, as well as his significant involvement in the JBFC’s film, education, and outreach programs. Foster won her second Academy Award for her performance in Demme’s “Silence of the Lambs” (for which Demme won Best Director) and Streep played Eleanor Shaw in his 2004 of “The Manchurian Candidate”. The Jacob Burns Film Center is a nonprofit cultural arts organization that aims to present the best of independent, documentary, and world cinema, promote 21st century literacy, and make film a vibrant part of the community.
