Posted: 2008-05-11 | Source: Webmaster

Just Jared has posted a first production still from "Julie & Julia" that features a direct comparison to the real Julia. Also, the film has received an extended synopsis: Frustrated temp secretary Julie Powell (Amy Adams) embarks on a yearlong culinary quest to cook all 524 recipes in Julia Child’s Mastering the Art of French Cooking. She chronicles her trials and tribulations in a blog that catches on with the food crowd. The film also covers the years that Julia Child and her husband spent in Paris during the 1940s and 1950s, when Paul was a foreign diplomat who was eventually investigated by Sen. Joseph McCarthy for alleged communist ties. Click the picture below for a larger view and more info. Thanks to Florence for the heads-up.

Speaking of news from the "Mamma Mia" department (besides the new site header as you can see ;-), Entertainment Tonight will feature a report on the film with new clips and an interview with Meryl in its Monday programme. Thanks to Michelle for letting me know.
