for sending in Meryl's segments from the documentary "Wrestling with Angels: Playwright
Tony Kushner", which premiered earlier this week on PBS. The first segment features a broadcast
of Meryl reading a prayer written by Kushner at the 2005 amfAR's Honoring with Pride dinner,
the second is a behind-the-scenes look at the set of "Angels in America". |

Today, two trailers for "Mamma Mia" have been launched - a theatrical version and an international
version (the latter featuring a whole more scenes with Meryl). Both can be downloaded in the video archive. Also added the segment from
yesterday's Entertainment Tonight show and their "Exlusive First Look" at the film. |

Here comes the very first still of Meryl shooting "Doubt". Many thanks to Gabriel for
the heads-up!
Also, according to the Hollywood Reporter, actress Viola Davis is set to play Mrs. Muller
in Miramax's screen adaptation of "Doubt," John Patrick Shanley's Tony-winning play. Meryl
Streep and Philip Seymour Hoffman star in the film that was written and is being directed
by Shanley. Amy Adams also is in negotiations to star. Scott Rudin is producing along with
Mark Roybal, and Celia Costas is executive producing. Davis will play the mother of a
young male student who has piqued what Sister Aloysius, the Mother Superior of the school
(Streep), sees as the improper interest of Father Flynn (Hoffman). Adams is in negotiations
to play Sister James, the young nun who has been an indirect witness to the dealings
between Flynn and Muller's son. Production began last week in New York. Many thanks to

STANLEY TUCCI MENTIONED TO CO-STAR IN "JULIA & JULIA"

While news on Meryl's involvement in "Julia & Julia" are still unconfirmed, another member
has been added to the cast. According to
Variety, Stanley Tucci - Meryl's co-star from "The Devil Wears Prada" -
has joined the story about the famous American cook. Both Streep and Tucci have recently
received a Grammy nomination for their narration in "The One and Only Shrek".

"WRESTLING WITH ANGELS: PLAYWRIGHT TONY KUSHNER" TO AIR ON PBS

Wrestling With Angels: Playwright Tony Kushner, the documentary by Oscar-winning director
Freida Lee Mock, will be broadcast on the PBS series P.O.V. at 9pm on Wednesday, December
12. The film focuses on the life of Kushner, who talks about his childhood, his
relationship with his parents, and his work as a playwright. The documentary includes
extended performances and readings from Kushner's many plays and musicals, including
Angels in America, Homebody/Kabul, and Caroline, or Change, along with appearances and
commentary by Meryl Streep, Marcia Gay Harden, Mike Nichols, Emma Thompson, Tonya Pinkins,
George C. Wolfe, Oskar Eustis, and Maurice Sendak. For more information, visit

MERYL STREEP SCORES GRAMMY NOMINATION

The 2008 awards season starts slightly different for Meryl this year as her first
nomination is not for her acting - but for her vocal abilities. Together with Stanley
Tucci, she has received a Grammy nomination in the category of the Best Spoken Word Album
For Children (for albums consisting of predominantly spoken word vs. music or song) for
their narration in " The One And Only
Shrek". The Grammy Awards will be presented on February 10, 2008. This is Meryl's
fourth Grammy nomination in this category, she was nominated before with "The Velveteen
Rabbit" (1985), "The Tale of Peter Rabbit" and " The Tailor of Glouchester" (both 1988).
