Wow, it has taken a LOT of time and help, but here are six video clips of Meryl's Oscar appearances from 2003, 2000, 1999, 1996, 1989 and 1983. This review comes from the Baltimore Sun and is full of praise for Meryl's performance: "Meryl is onstage for most of the evening, doing impossible things, having memorized millions of words and phrases and moves and takes and leers and frowns and groans and tears. MERYL STREEP NARRATES HURRICANE KATRINA DOCUMENTARY

According to USA Today, Meryl Streep won't be stealing any scenes in her next gig. The Oscar-winning actress narrates Hurricane on the Bayou, shot before and after Hurricane Katrina, MacGillivray Freeman Films announced Wednesday. The documentary will open in New Orleans on Aug. 29 to mark the anniversary of Katrina's surge through the Gulf Coast, the company said. It will be released in Los Angeles on Sept. 8 and in IMAX theaters worldwide on Dec. 22. "Meryl Streep's ability to connect with audiences and the depth she brings to everything she does makes her the ideal narrator for this film, which has so many moods," director-producer Greg MacGillivray said in a statement. MacGillivray said Hurricane on the Bayou is a call to restore Louisiana's coastal wetlands, which help protect New Orleans against deadly storms, as well as a "profound musical celebration of a city that has been called the soul of America." The film stars music producer-songwriter Allen Toussaint, blues singer-guitarist Tab Benoit, 14-year-old fiddler Amanda Shaw and zydeco accordion player Chubby Carrier.

"THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA" AT THE VENICE FILM FESTIVAL

"The Devil Wears Prada" will be running out of competition at this year's Venice Film Festival (August 30 - September 09). Oliver Stone's "World Trade Center", David Lynch's "Inland Empire" and Kenneth Brannagh's "The Magic Flute" are shown as well. For a full line-up, click here.

MERYL REPORTED TO JOIN ROWLING, KING, IRVING READING

According to this article, actors Sigourney Weaver, Meryl Streep and Uma Thurman are expected to watch the charity readings at Radio City Music Hall in New York, an evening with Joanne K. Rowling, John Irving and Stephen King. The event takes place on August 1 and 2 and is entitled "An Evening with Harry, Carrie & Garp".
