"Prime" DVD review
Posted: 2006-03-02 | Source: Webmaster |
"Prime" releases on DVD on March 07, 2006. If you consider to buy it (which I highly
recommend ;-), have a look at what you get:
The movie: When Rafi (Uma
Thurman), a 37-year-old single woman, meets David (Bryan Greenberg), a 23-year-old painter,
it's love at first sight. But that love gets complicated fast when Rafi discovers that David
is also the son of her therapist (Meryl Streep)! Professional help is about to get very
personal in this entertaining and irresistibly charming hit that critics are calling "a funny
and very sexy comedy". "Prime" shines with a perfect comedy timing and
superb
actors. While Thurman and Greenberg are wonderful in their roles, Meryl Streep's performance
is simply teriffic, her acting and her face expressions make this movie worth to watch!
The DVD... comes with an
anamorphic Widescreen image and Dolby Digital 5.1. Languages can be chosen between English and
French as well as Spanish, English and French
subtitles. Also, there's a nice animated and easy-to-navigate menu.
The Special Features... shouldn't
be missed! First, there are lots of additional scenes that didn't make it into the movie, including
more sequences with Meryl. Then, there's a collection of hilarious bloopers from the set that
will make you laugh out loud! Also featured is an insightful |
| making of, including interviews
with the cast and crew of "Prime" as well as a very interesting Feature Commentary with
director Ben Younger and producer Jennifer Todd.
You can order "Prime" over at
Universal Home Video and DVD, more information on the movie can be also found at Simply
Streep's Prime Special. |
