A note on photo issues
Posted: 2005-09-29 | Source: Webmaster

Dear visitors, this is kind of off-topic, but very important to me and Simply Streep. It's happening more and more often, that other websites or groups take photos from this site, remove our tags and claim them as their own. I've taken the time and contacted some of them, without anything happening, so I need to take this way. I'm not going to name any of those or their sites, I'm pretty sure you know if you've taken photos and removed tags. There are many new photos I wanted to upload, including new on-set photos from "The Devil Wears Prada", but unfortunately, I'm not going to post them until I see a result at those sites who are stealing. I'm sorry for all the other visitors, but having such a comprehensive gallery includes to invest a lot of time, from the webmaster and those who contribute. What I ask for is to remove those photos with removed tags. If you want to use one of our pictures, you are welcome to post it WITH tags AND a link back to Simply Streep! I hope this problem will be solved very soon. If you have any questions on this topic, you can of course drop me a line.

After Meryl's appearance on the "Ellen DeGeneres Show" on September 22 got cancelled and announced to take place on September 29, this date is also incorrect since Ellen's Official Website doesn't list Meryl. No further dates are known, so I guess we have to wait until she's featured on the Official Website.

TIME: Meryl Tries Out An, Um, Edgier Look
Posted: 2005-09-23 | Source: Webmaster

TIME Magazine had a small article on Meryl and the shooting of "The Devil Wears Prada". You can read it in the Press Archive: Filming began last weekend on the movie adaptation of The Devil Wears Prada, a roman à clef penned by a former assistant to Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour. In the movie, MERYL STREEP plays Miranda Priestly, the temperamental, overweening editor of a fictional fashion glossy called Runway--a character based loosely on Wintour... read on.
