Today, Meryl and Lilla Crawford have attended a photocall for “Into the Woods” in Tokyo. Pictures from the event have been added to the image library.

The Oscars didn’t work out this year, but maybe Meryl Streep has better chances to score an MTV Movie Award in April. She has received a nomination as Best Villain for “Into the Woods”, sharing the category with fellow Oscar nominees Rosamund Pike for “Gone Girl”, J.K. Simmons for “Wiplash” as well as Jillian Bell for “22 Jump Street” and Peter Dinklage for “X-Men: Days of Future Past”. This is Meryl’s second Best Villain nomination, she received a first nod in 2007 for “The Devil Wears Prada”. The MTV Movie Awards find a new owner on April 12, 2015. Today, Meryl has attended the premiere for “Into the Woods” in Japan. Pictures from the event have been added to the image library, with additional information to come. George Clooney, Meryl Streep, and Tom Hanks were all on hand to help celebrate An Evening of SeriousFun in New York City on Monday, a charity gala which celebrates the life of late actor Paul Newman. The event honours Newman’s philanthropy and aims to raise money for his SeriousFun Children’s Network, which sends kids with illnesses from more than 50 countries to camp. George later said of the children: “They get to be campers and not patients for a period of time and that’s really something kind of spectacular. “You get lost in all these things in the rush of our lives and you forget that they, on top of having to deal with very serious illnesses, they’re also kids. There was a kid here today saw snow for the first time, which is pretty great.” Meryl added: “Paul’s great idea has grown and grown and grown to such a degree that I don’t think he would even believe it, if he had lived to 90 (years old). “They’re opening three more camps this year… They have served a half a million kids and families. He’s really delivered joy, not just in his work but in this work, which is a great legacy.” Pictures from the event have been added to the image library, with many thanks to Claudia for her contributions.

Disney has announced details of the special features that will be included in the Blu-ray, DVD and digital releases of its hit film adaptation of the Stephen Sondheim-James Lapine musical Into the Woods, which will arrive on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD March 24.The Blu-ray and select digital releases will include “She’ll Be Back,” a song penned by Sondheim for Streep to perform as The Witch in the film. The song, which was shot and later cut from the film prior to release, “sheds a little more light on the Witch’s relationship with Rapunzel,” according to Disney. Additional features include filmmaker commentary from director Marshall and producer John DeLuca, as well as direct access to songs in the film (including optional sing-along lyrics) and “5 Golden Eggs,” which will reveal Easter Eggs (intentional and often hidden insider references, or jokes for devoted fans). The DVD release will solely include the “Deeper Into the Woods” featurette.

Meryl Streep will narrate the feature documentary “Shout Gladi Gladi,” co-directed by Adam Friedman and Iain Kennedy and focusing on women’s health in Africa. The film has an emphasis on fistula, a debilitating condition that turns once-healthy women into outcasts. The documentary is being made in collaboration with Ann Gloag’s Freedom From Fistula Foundation, and explores Gloag’s experiences working with women in Kenya, Malawi and Sierra Leone. The film also features appearances by Melinda Gates and Nobel Peace laureate Wole Soyinka. Friedman will produce the documentary through his Vertical Ascent company; Gloag will executive produce. “This powerful film attests to the igniting power of one woman, Ann Gloag, to set in motion hundreds of helping hands, doctors, nurses, caregivers, family and friends, to resuscitate the health and status of victims of fistula, and to give them back their lives,” Streep said. The filmmakers noted that an estimated 2 million women in Africa live with obstetric fistula and more than 500,000 women die each year during pregnancy or childbirth, though 80% of these deaths are completely avoidable.

As you might have noticed, lots of additional pictures from the Academy Awards’ red carpet and show have been added to the image library throughout the day. Besides the Best Actress in a Supporting Role category, the video also includes the In Memoriam segment which Meryl introduced, and which was played to the haunting theme of “Sophie’s Choice”. It’s been the day Hollywood has been waiting for. Meryl Streep has attended tonight’s Academy Awards as a nominee for Best Supporting Actress for “Into the Woods”. While this Oscar season has been quiet for Meryl (I guess there’s no big reason to make the rounds this year), she has attended the Women In Film Pre-Oscar Cocktail Party yesterday, where she was photographed with her “The Deer Hunter” co-star John Savage. Pictures from the event have been added to the image library.

On February 18, Meryl Streep has attended Diane von Furstenberg’s Pre-Oscar Brunch, alongside her “Homesman” co-star Hilary Swank. Pictures from the event have been added to the image library.
