"E! Extreme Close-Up" is a 30 minutes special on Meryl Streep and her career. With its
airing close to the release of "The Devil Wears Prada", the episode mostly centers
on the film and its making, but also includes a great deal of rare interviews from
the red carpet and promotions from "Death Becomes Her", "The River Wild", "Adaptation",
"The Hours", "The Manchurian Candidate", "Prime" and "A Prairie
Home Companion". Many of her co-stars are also interviewed, talking about their
experiences of working with Meryl and her influence on them, among them are Uma
Thurman, Renée Zellweger, Kevin Bacon, Chris Cooper, Nicolas Cage,
Anne Hathaway, Roger Ebert (film critic), Jim Carrey, Lily Tomlin, Lindsay Lohan, Emily Blunt,
Stanley Tucci. Other footage includes her Handprints at the Mann's Chinese Theatre
in 1995 and the 2003 Golden Globes Press Room.
