On Saturday, Nicole Kidman was honored with the 40th AFI Life Achievement Award. The actress was scheduled to be presented with the award last year, but the ceremony was postponed indefinitely due to the writers’ strike, which was resolved in September after 146 days on the picket line. As the highlight of the evening, her “The Hours”, “Big Little Lies” and “The Prom” co-star Meryl Streep spoke about her colleague and presented her with the statue.
