Yesterday, Meryl Streep won a Critics Choice Award as Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for “Only Murders in the Building”. Unfortunately, there’s not much more to say or show, since she didn’t attend the ceremony. Furthermore, the category was presented rather as a blink-and-you-miss-it side dish combined with Best Supporting Actor. She was nominated alongside Paulina Alexis (Reservation Dogs), Alex Borstein (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), Janelle James (Abbott Elementary), Sheryl Lee Ralph (Abbott Elementary) and Jessica Williams (Shrinking). This is Meryl Streep’s fourth Critics Choice Award – she received Best Actress honors in 2009 and 2010 for “Doubt” and “Julie & Julia”, respectively, and a Best Actress in a Comedy award in 2016 for “Florence Foster Jenkins”.
